使人和睦的人有福了!因為他們必稱為 神的兒子﹙太五9節﹚

不從惡人的計謀,不站罪人的道路,不坐褻慢人的座位,惟喜愛耶和華的律法,晝夜思想,這人便為有福﹙詩一1-2﹚!

原來我們在許多事上都有過失;若有人在話語上沒有過失,他就是完全人,也能勒住自己的全身。我們若把嚼環放在馬嘴裏,叫牠順服,就能調動牠的全身。看哪,船隻雖然甚大,又被大風催逼,只用小小的舵,就隨著掌舵的意思轉動。這樣,舌頭在百體裏也是最小的,卻能說大話。看哪,最小的火能點著最大的樹林。舌頭就是火,在我們百體中,舌頭是個罪惡的世界,能污穢全身,也能把生命的輪子點起來,並且是從地獄裏點著的﹙雅三2-6﹚。

我若能說萬人的方言,並天使的話語,卻沒有愛,我就成了鳴的鑼,響的鈸一般。我若有先知講道之能,也明白各樣的奧祕,各樣的知識,而且有全備的信,叫我能夠移山,卻沒有愛,我就算不得甚麼。我若將所有的賙濟窮人,又捨己身叫人焚燒,卻沒有愛,仍然與我無益。愛是恆久忍耐,又有恩慈;愛是不嫉妒;愛是不自誇,不張狂,不做害羞的事,不求自己的益處,不輕易發怒,不計算人的惡,不喜歡不義,只喜歡真理;凡事包容,凡事相信,凡事盼望,凡事忍耐﹙林前十三1-7﹚。

「倘若你的弟兄得罪你,你就去,趁著只有他和你在一處的時候,指出他的錯來。他若聽你,你便得了你的弟兄;他若不聽,你就另外帶一兩個人同去,要憑兩三個人的口作見證,句句都可定準。若是不聽他們,就告訴教會;若是不聽教會,就看他像外邦人和稅吏一樣﹙太十八15-17﹚。
Bible Verses (ESV):
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God (Matthew 5:9).

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night (Psalm 1:1-2).

For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.  If we put bits into the mouths of horses so that they obey us, we guide their whole bodies as well. Look at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs. So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire! And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell (James 3:2-6).

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things (1 Corinthians 13:1-7).

If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector (Matthew 18:15-17).
